Thumbln™ is a service (the “service”) developed, owned and hosted by Aerial Research P/L trading as Boomtastic Apps™, with Aerial Research P/L being the legal entity (“we”, “us”).

The service is provided via a combination of the and websites (the “web sites”) and the Thumbln™ mobile application (the “mobile application”).

Your privacy is very important to us.

We have developed this policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate and disclose and make use of personal information.

The following outlines our policy.

When you sign up, we collect personal information to enable us to provide you with the service, including arranging lifts, providing lifts, arranging meetings and arranging friend relationships within the service.

We collect and use personal information solely for providing the service, make notifications to you about the service, or as required by law.

We enable you to update your personal information, to ensure it is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

We protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

We store the following data on the server: The name you provide, the e-mail address you provide, an encrypted version of the password you provide or your Facebook unique identifier if you log in via Facebook, a device identifier (for Push notifications), GPS coordinates, Friends (who have accepted the relationship via the service), Groups you have saved, favourite Places you have saved, and lift Requests that you have participated in via the service or have saved as favourites.

Only your name and only an approximate location (at the Suburb/Locality level) are provided to your selected Friends, nearby Friends (if selected), nearby Friends of Friends (if selected) and professional service providers (if selected). When accepting or offering a lift, it is your responsibility to make an informed and safe decision and Boomtastic Apps accepts no liability for any problems arising from your decision. When an informed offer and acceptance has been made, we exchange precise locations (noting limitations of GPS devices and the network) between the two parties for the purpose of executing the lift request.

When a friend has specifically asked you for a lift request and your decline the request, your friend is notified of your response. However if simply asking Nearby Friends (not explicitly naming them), Nearby Friends of Friends (not explicitly naming them) or professional Service Providers (not explicitly naming them) then only lift offers are presented and no declined responses are presented (to respect their privacy).

The mobile application integrates Facebook functionality, including logging on via your Facebook account (for ease of use) and access to your friends list (when you select to do so, for the purpose of setting up trusted relations via the service). Refer to Facebook ( for data collected when logging in via Facebook and their privacy policy.

The mobile application integrates advertising and promotional material. No information that may identify you is provided to advertisers. However, demographic information may be provided to ensure better targeted advertisement campaigns are presented, such as age, gender, general location (at the suburb/locality level).
